Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms of Service are effective August 26, 2026. By accessing or using OverlayImage.app, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally capable of entering this agreement or use the service with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
What the service provides
OverlayImage.app provides a free, browser-based workspace for overlaying, joining, adjusting, and exporting images. The current service requires no account and processes your working image files locally in the browser. Features, formats, limits, and availability may change as the product develops.
Your content and permissions
You retain your rights in the images and other content you use. You are responsible for ensuring that you own that content or have all permissions required to edit, combine, and export it. Because image files are processed locally, you do not grant us a license to host those files; you do authorize the browser code to process them at your direction on your device.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to violate law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, create or distribute unlawful material, misrepresent identity, harm others, probe or disrupt the site, bypass security or usage controls, introduce malicious code, or automate abusive traffic. You are responsible for the results you create and how you publish or distribute them.
Our site and intellectual property
The OverlayImage.app name, visual identity, website design, copy, and original software are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for lawful personal or commercial image work; they do not transfer ownership of our site or brand.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service useful and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, compatibility with every browser or file, or permanent retention of any feature. We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue all or part of the service, especially for maintenance, security, legal, or product reasons.
No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. We do not warrant that output will meet every requirement, remain error-free, preserve every metadata field, or be suitable for a particular professional, legal, archival, or commercial purpose. Keep your original files and review exports before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OverlayImage.app and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business arising from use of or inability to use the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Changes, privacy, and contact
We may revise these terms as the service changes. Updated terms take effect when posted with a new date, and continued use means you accept them. The Privacy Policy explains site data practices and is part of these terms. Questions, problem reports, or suggestions can be sent to support@overlayimage.app; we aim to reply within 72 hours.
